Prince William Sound Rental Cabins– Stay at Eshamy Bay Lodge with all meals and amenities included

Prince William Boat Tours – Wildlife Viewing, Whale Watching, Bird Watching, Marine Mammal Watching, Glacier Viewing, Oyster farm tours and combination tours are billed on an hourly rate of $250 per hour, with a minimum of 1 hour. There is no minimum number of people, but there is a maximum of 12 people.

Kayak Rental – Prince William Sound Adventures features day trips to and overnight lodging at Eshamy Bay Lodge, that includes free kayak rental during your stay.  While in the Eshamy Bay area on your own vessel, hail Eshamy Bay Lodge on the VHF, to stop by and pick up kayaks for $25 per kayak for a half a day.

Kayaking guided tour – Guided kayak tours that depart from Eshamy Bay Lodge are $75 per person for up to 3 hours, including free kayak rental. Guided kayak tours that take place as a boat drop off, away from the Rental Cabins, varies in cost. Call us for rates and we can plan a trip around your needs.

Kayak Drop Off – Kayak drop offs that depart from Eshamy Bay Lodge include free kayak rentals if needed. Rates for drop off location is dependant on distance from Rental cabins. For kayak trip with pick up in Whittier, rate is subject to drop off location. Packages for Multi day kayak trips with lodging are available, call for details.

The Free Kayaks provided by Eshamy Bay Lodge, are fun starter Kayaks approximately 8’ long and 28 inches wide, with a weight capacity of 200lbs.  These kayaks are designed to move through the water with ease and are perfect for short trips in the protected waters of the Prince William Sound.   

Prince William Sound Fishing Adventure

Depart from Whittier on the Whittier Express and travel through the picturesque sceneries on your journey to view glaciers from a distance and wildlife such as sea otters, seals, eagles and any whales that we may come into contact with. Your fishing adventure will make a stop for a land
based lunch at the remote Eshamy Bay Lodge, where you can stretch your legs and enjoy a fresh meal with a beautiful view on the spacious deck.

After you are finished with lunch, we will board the Princewilliamsoundtaxi.com guided fishing vessel and depart to our special fishing spots to get you to where the fish are. We have a great knowledge of where Silver (Coho) Salmon, Red (Sockeye) Salmon, and Cutthroat Trout are populated. The odds of getting your limit are very high!

After fishing, we will then transport you back to Whittier with your catch, or to stay at Eshamy Bay Lodge if you wish to continue your Prince William Sound Adventures!

Male Bears five to six feet in size weighing 150 ndash; 400 pounds will often emerge from the winter dens first, in search of newly sprouted shore grass and greens.The Prince William Sound is said to have the highest concentration of Black Bears in Alaska, and Eshamy Bay Lodge is in the heart of thePrince William Sound. Early spring in the Prince William Sound is usually wet,and cold, with plenty of snow still on the ground. Prince William Sound Sitka Black Tail Deer Hunts -
The Sitka black-tailed deer (Odocoileus hemionus sitkensis) is native to the wet coastal rainforestrsquo;s of North-coastal British Columbia and Southeast Alaska. The range of the locations these animals has been expanded by being transplanted to various places. Sitka black-tailed deer now has established populations through Alaska in Prince William Sound, on Kodiak Island, Afognak Island, and near Yakutat.
Sitka black-tailed deer are smaller and stockier than the Colombian black-tailed deer found in the Pacific Northwest. The average October live
weight of adult Sitka black-tails is about 80 lbs (36 kg) for does and 120 lbs (54.5 kg) for bucks, although 200-lb bucks have been taken. The dressed weight of a 100-lb (45-kg) deer is about 60 lbs (27 kg), yielding about 35 lbs (16 kg) of meat.
